Gay Paris - Gay Nice, accommodation rentals
for gay and lesbian travellers

Lesbian Paris might be more discrete than gay Paris, but there are still lots of opportunities to go out with a wide range of lesbian bars and restaurants
We'll start with some of the most well known lesbian bars in Paris. The So What, a girls-only bar in the Marais and one of the capital's coolest lesbian venues, has just celebrated its first birthday. Parisian lesbians come here to drink and dance the night away: everybody lets their hair down so don't be surprised to see people dancing on the tables! It's popular with a confident, assertive crowd of lesbians and a million miles away from stereotypes. To make sure you have an unforgettable time every time and to keep the lesbians pouring through the door, the bar is also known for completely changing the interior décor every two weeks. It turns into a lesbian club at the weekend. Despite being a recent addition to the lesbian scene, the So What is already a must-see lesbian bar in Paris.
The Vénus Noire is another cool lesbian bar that looks like it belongs to another era: it's packed with history and welcomes jazz concerts during the week.
The Champmesle is the oldest gay and lesbian bar in Paris and has never gone out of fashion since it opened in 1979. There's no better place to start an evening out than with a game of snooker with the girls at the Unity Bar, a lesbian bar that also organises theme nights, karaoke and snooker tournaments.
Another popular Paris lesbian bar is the 3W Kafé, which attracts a slightly older crowd to its karaoke nights on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Nearby is another lesbian bar, Les Jacasses, which is great for grabbing a drink, or the Little Café, a bistro with a big reputation for strong mojitos!
If you're looking for something more relaxed, the Okubi café is the lesbian bar you need: it's more diverse but still very much gay-friendly. Les Souffleurs and Le Barko are also well worth checking out.
Finally, Le Rive Gauche is the only dedicated lesbian club on the Paris lesbian scene.

Lesbians in Paris needn't go hungry. Les filles de Paris and the Troisième lieu are an excellent choice for a night out with your lesbian friends, and both venues double up with a lesbian bar and lesbian restaurant under the same roof. You can enjoy burlesque shows at the Les filles de Paris, while there's a simple rule at the huge Troisième lieu: eat, drink and dance! The restaurant has large tables, which are perfect if you're with lots of friends.
Lesbian tapas fans head to the Féria, which has a small but perfectly located terrace set back from the street. For something fancier, l'Œil combines modern décor with an intimate atmosphere. If you're looking for a snack, try the Morgan.
Finally, if it’s shopping you’re after, Whats For Her is a one-of-a-kind boutique dedicated to lesbians where you can find all sorts of unusual ideas to help you rediscover your sexuality.

For more information, the LGBT Centre for Paris and the Ile de France region holds 'Friday night ladies' night', with a welcoming ear for lesbians from 8-10 PM the first and third Friday of the month.
