Bars
219 rue st Maur, 75010 Paris
Ouvert du mardi au samedi et veilles de jours fériés de 18 à 2h du matin
Mary, the boss, opened this place in this area "populo-cool" to try to make things happen also outside the Marais. The clientele is rather female, but the O'Kubi Caffe is a multicultural bar opened to all. The Kubi has a gay friendly relaxed atmosphere, with some DJs (Electro, Rock, Pop, House, Tech ..), VJs, concerts, exhibitions, theme parties. The wine, champagne, cocktails or beers lovers will find a wide choice of drinks at attractive prices.
A room in the basement is open on weekends and can accommodate groups for private parties.
Buddha bar
8, Rue Boissy d'Anglas, 75008 Paris
tous les jours de midi à 2h
One notices first and foremost the decoration and ambiance of this restaurant, situated near the Place de la Concorde. It is among the most unique restaurants in Paris, much less within its genre, with a striking centerpiece: a giant Buddha, over 8 meters high, seated in the center of the main room. The decoration follows this Asian theme, and the ambiance is supplemented by a unique music selection, making the Buddha Bar an establishment which is at once festive and intimate. The cuisine is also Asian-influenced.
A bar-restaurant with exotic allure. While Portuguese-speakers may be a little puzzled by the name, Favela Chic incorporates a heady atmosphere with luscious electronic sambas and bossa novas that resembles at least the more romantic visions of Rio de Janiero’s underclass party culture. It is not rare to find clients dancing on the tables as the night goes on.

If there is one thing you could say about this bar, it is that it certainly qualifies as original! It is in some way the children’s playground of Paris. One drinks out of baby’s bottles, and cartoon books are at patrons’ disposals. Ideal for students suffering from Peter Pan syndrome. One comes here to return to one’s childhood for a pleasurable evening.

Footsie
