Study results – Paris Hotel

The Paris hotel industry recorded growth in 2005, with a small increase of the number of guests as compared to 2004: 16 million guests spent 38 million nights.

Since 1993 the average hotel stay in Paris has remained stable at 2.22 nights. The average occupancy rate is 73%.

In terms of frequency, the calmest period remains the months of December, January and February.

Paris has over 1454 hotels (2001 statistic). These hotels have a collective capacity of 110,000 rooms. The 9 th arrondissement has the highest number of hotels with 179 establishments.

Finally, Paris has 28 hotels with no-stars, 131 one-star hotels, 572 two-star hotels, 584 tree-star hotels, 133 for-star hotels and only 6 five-star luxury hotels.

Two-star hotels and three-star hotels represent 80% of Parisian establishments and 69% of available hotel rooms.
