Absolu Living would like to point out the results of a very interesting study about hotel which concerns the price of hotel rooms in Paris versus price of hotel in other world capitals. The study was conducted by MKG Consulting at the request of the Paris Visitors and Convention Bureau.

The cities included in the hotel study include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, Copenhagen, Florence, Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Munich, New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, Tokyo and Vienna. In all, over 400 hotels were evaluated including 6 budget hotels, 7 mid-range and 7 luxury hotels per city.

The study illustrates, that especially in terms of price, renting an apartment in Paris, instead of renting a hotel room can be a logical and effective accommodations solution.

An apartment provides more space than a hotel room and all of the furnishings necessary to live comfortably in the most animated neighborhoods of central Paris .

Budget Hotels – 2-star establishments :

The study shows that the average price for two-star hotel room in all cities is 109 €. In Paris , the average price for such a hotel room is 89 €.

In comparison, Paris ranks fourth among the least expensive cities for budget hotel rooms.
